We now know our way around a bit, have been to both of the church buildings in the city, met many new and wonderful people and successfully learned and utilized the excellent Metro system. There's a good chance we will get to stay for a while in the apartment we moved in to, which makes us very happy. We were not anxious to pack up and move our things, especially now that it is starting to feel quite comfortable.
Most of all, we have grown to love and appreciate the young missionaries. They are the real key to success in the work here. Our job is to support them, lend a listening ear, and stay out of their way. As admonished, they are showing "creative courage." A great example is "chalk talk" in the park (see picture below). They drew their message in chalk on the pavement. The drawing is over 70 feet long and creates some curiosity among those walking by.
The young missionaries also know how to relax and have a good time. We accompanied them on a Preparation Day (P-day) activity to the mansion (built mid-1800's) at Parcul Mogoșoaia. They planned a great picnic, took lots of "selfies" and made sure we were safe. We had a wonderful day with them.
